FORM INSTRUCTIONS

 

  • Keep a separate record sheet on each registered stallion used for breeding purposes;
  • Report shall be on file in the office of the Western Horse Registry (WHR)
  • Stallion owners should see the registration certificate of each mare bred.
  • Be sure the owner (listed on mare’s registration papers) of the mare is the person who contracts this breeding.
  • Give exact dates bred.
  • If pasture bred give date the mare was turned into the pasture and the date she was taken out of the pasture;
  • Mares on this report, if not registered with the WHR, must still be listed.
  • The lessee of a registered mare or stallion listed in this report, must have an official ‘Permission to Breed’ document, notarized by the official owner of the horse and the breed registry the animal is registered with.
  • A copy of all Official WHR Breeding Certificates (Service Certificates) to accompany this report.
  • Be sure to check your mare listings carefully. No resulting foals claimed to be by the Stallion listed in this document, will be eligible for registration listing this stallion as sire, unless the dam has been listed in this report during the breeding season covered by this report.
