Western Horse Registry - Registration Explained

Horses lend us the wings we lack. (Pam Brown)

The WESTERN HORSE REGISTRY is a central registry for all Western Breed Horses ~ Paint Horse, Quarter Horse, Appaloosa and their derivatives (registered or foundation stock). This site also features an ONLINE STUD BOOK that will grow to include every horse in an individual horses pedigree, back as far as is possible to trace or until Thoroughbred, at this time

The WESTERN HORSE REGISTRY is for ;

  1. All those people who own or breed Western Horses for Rodeo, Cutting, Reining, Campdrafting, Polo, Pleasure Riding, Pony Club, English Events.. etc; and want to dual register to accumulate more points and awards for their horse.
  2. Those who have neglected to register their horses due to breeding with a colt that was not upgraded or a mare that has no proof of pedigree or was not registered with the accepted out-cross breed registries.
  3. Those who simply can't justify the expense and penalty fees for a horse they weekend pleasure ride.
  4. Then there are the folk who got badly stung by the parent verification rule and found their horses went from a Q registration to an X, virtually making them worthless. If you own an unregistered horse that has a distinct WESTERN HORSE conformation - it may be eligible for foundation registration, pending classification.
  5. Or for any other reason not listed here..
